Engineered wooden floors have become much in demand in recent months because although the customer gets a natural wood floor, it is manufactured in a multi-layered system with real hardwood as the top layer and supported by Hevea (rubberwood) – a plantation wood in the centre, and provided with a softwood as the base.

This design uses much less natural wood than a solid wood floor and makes considerably less demands upon the environment, yet the end result is the same.

BKB's core product is European-style parquet with 3-layer construction, engineered with real hardwood on the top and supported by Hevea, a plantation wood in the middle and softwood veneer as the back.

BKB owns and operates a modern state of the art engineered wood flooring factory located in Ipoh, a city on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

The factory which commenced production in 1994, has a built-up area of more than 28,000m2 and features some of the latest engineered hardwood flooring technology from leading European machinery manufacturers. In 2005, the factory added an additional Press Line effectively doubling its capacity to more than 1.5 million m2 / year.

BKB product range is sold and well accepted in many parts of the world, including USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and Asia. As a testimony of its commitment to quality, BKB has been certified MS ISO 9001:2000 and is now also offering FSC products in its programme.
